A very intensive day, spent learning about a few of the apps found in the G-Suite, including some chrome extensions. We had a 'Hangout' experience with our guest coach Lenva Shearing, with a focus on LEARN. Our facilitators, Maria and Cheryl supported us in learning, creating and sharing in a google hangout. This was a very hands on experience and there were some minor technical issues involved, but all in all, I was quite confident when using Google meet. I have had many opportunities to join a google meet as a learner, but I needed to see what it was like to create and lead a meet, so I practiced doing one with myself at home before doing this session. I got to see how it worked from a teachers perspective and found it quite easy to use. It would be an ideal platform to teach learners online, who may be absent from school.
A 'WOW' moment for me came when we were looking at 'how to manage your workflow' in Gmail. Who would've known that there was so much more to it.
My blog this week is based on my learning from the last session, where we used a Google Doc to create a poster. I decided that my reflection was going to be done using this format.
